Exceptional Entry Police Officer
2024 Base Pay
- Hourly: $46.08 – $59.02
- Monthly: $7,987.54 – $10,229.66
- Annually: $95,850.44 – $122,755.89
An Exceptional Entry officer is defined as:
A Police Officer: who possess a valid and current peace officer certificate from a state training commission that is recognized by the State of Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, but who has less than two consecutive (2) years of police experience, with no more than six months break in service from when you left your last police position to the time of submitting your application with the Bellevue Police Department.

Exceptional Entry Police Officers are also eligible for the following benefits:
- Successful exceptional entry candidates may be eligible for a $10,000.00 hiring bonus.
- Successful exceptional entry candidates may be eligible for moving expenses for up to $7,500 for documented moving expenses if relocating from Out-of-State.
