Police Officer
Salary: $60,708.07 – $73,791.06
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of patrol and community policing duties involving the prevention of crime, the protection of life and property, and the enforcement of Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances; serves subpoenas; makes arrests and transports suspects into custody; assists in processing crime scenes and preserving evidence; assists in the preparation of cases, and testifies in court; and performs related work as required.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a P.O.S.T. Certified Academy or a Lateral Police Officer
- Possess a current and valid California Driver’s License – must provide DMV driving record with application.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or meet the requirements of Government Code 1031
- 21 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
