This is not a police recruit or police cadet position. You must already be a licensed Texas Peace Officer or in a Texas police academy with a nearing graduation date. Out of state officers will want to contact TCOLE for the path of licensure for out of state officers.

Effective 10/01/2023, Starting at $28.94/hr. ($60,206) straight out of police academy with a basic TCOLE license with no experience.

Full Salary Range is $28.94/hr. ($60,206) – $42.64/hr. ($88,6970), based upon years of experience and certifications.

Signing bonus up to $10,000. Amount of bonus is based on experience.
