University Police Officer
Salary: $17.00 – $19.12 hourly.
Position Summary:
Primary duty is to enforce the laws of the state of Oklahoma and the rules and regulations of the campus of OSU Institute of Technology.
Requirements:
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Two years’ documented experience as a peace officer in a university setting preferred.
- Law enforcement certification by Council on Law Enforcement and Training (CLEET); or must be obtained following hire.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
- NIMS (Homeland Security).
- CPR training.
- Must meet annual training/qualification standards for firearms as well as CLEET continuing education hours.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have good reputable character with no criminal record.
- Must have good driving record.
- Must be able to pass the OLERS physical examination.
- Must have full sensory perception, mental ability, physical capability and psychomotor skills.
- Current computer skills to include MS applications and database systems.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field from an accredited college or university highly preferred.
- FT Peach Officer CLEET certification.
