Sheriff’s Cadet – Extra Help

Salary: $24.50 Hourly

Position Summary:

We appreciate your interest in the Sheriff’s Cadet position. Under immediate supervision, the Sheriff’s Cadet is responsible for assisting both sworn and non-sworn Sheriff’s Office personnel and other County departments with site security operations, parking enforcement, administrative tasks, and patrol in a marked presence to discourage vandalism, theft, or other illegal activity on or around County facilities.

Requirements:

• Experience: None required.
• Education: Equivalent to completion of High School and current enrollment in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university as a full-time student (12 semester unit minimum) while maintaining a 2.0 GPA
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license
• Possession of a certificate demonstrating satisfactory completion of a POST course on 832 (arrest and firearms training) within one (1) year of appointment.
• Incumbents are required to obtain first aid and CPR certification within one (1) year of appointment.
