Salary: $29.20 Hourly

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Probation Services, performs a variety of probation department functions for the 1st District Court.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, counseling or closely related area.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of prior experience in criminal justice, counseling, case management or law enforcement or related capacity a plus.
  • Must sign a Monroe County Court Employee model code of conduct.
  • Must become a member of the Michigan Association of District Court Probation Officers (MADCPO) within the first year of employment and renew annually.
  • Obtain & maintain Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) certification
  • Must take the L.E.I.N certification test & be fingerprinted.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
