Police Officer Cadet
Position Summary:
Incumbent will attend a State Government Texas Commission in Law Enforcement (TCOLE) approved Licensing Academy also known as a BPOC (Basic Peace Officer Course).
Essential Functions:
▪ Take part in physical training designed to teach incumbent physical fitness and its importance in law enforcement.
▪ Take and pass tests over each topic provided in the BPOC curriculum.
▪ Take and pass three comprehensive examinations.
▪ Successfully complete all practical examinations administered during BPOC.
▪ Maintain a minimum of an 80% grade point average.
▪ Maintain a notebook throughout the BPOC by standards set out in the student manual.
▪ Complete all assignments on time.
▪ Adhere to the Dress Code as established by BPOC.
▪ Provide an exceptional customer experience for all AISD stakeholders with intentional and professional practice that promote a culture of respect.
Requirements:
- This position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D, and
- The incumbent must be 21 years of age by the graduation date of the Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC).
- Incumbent must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
