Police Officer – Academy Sponsorship
Rate: $37.75 USD per hour
The Town of Castle Rock Police Department is committed to hiring individuals who embrace our values and culture. As such, we are currently accepting applications from individuals with no previous policing experience to sponsor through the Highlands Ranch Law Enforcement Training Academy to become full-time officers with our department upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and successfully complete a state-accredited law enforcement training program, fully funded by the Castle Rock Police Department
- Participate in rigorous physical fitness testing throughout the academy
- Successfully pass all required academic and practical assessments
- Adhere to all department policies and procedures during academy training and upon employment as a police office
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred
- Valid Colorado driver’s license; or ability to attain within 30 days of employment
- Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, physical exam, polygraph and psychological exam prior to commencing employment
- Must satisfactorily complete a written examination
Benefits
- Paid training: receive a full-time competitive salary while attending the academy; base salary for 2025 is $78,520
- Department Full-time employment: upon successful completion of the academy, you will receive immediate employment as a sworn police officer with the Castle Rock Police Department
