Police Officer

Salary: $7,559.68

Requirements:

• Your physical ability test must be completed 180 days (~6 months) before or after your passing written exam.
• Candidate must be 21 by the time of graduation from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
• US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, proof required at time of appointment
• A valid Washington State Driver License is required at time of appointment and maintained thereafter.
• Felony conviction(s) as a juvenile will be carefully reviewed.
• Correctable to 20/20
• Post secondary education is preferred.
• If an applicant was in the Armed Forces and discharged under honorable conditions, they must provide a DD-214 and completed Veteran’s Scoring Criteria form, upon request from the City.
• Applicants must pass the physical ability testing and all portions of the application and examination process to be placed on an eligibility list for hiring consideration. As openings occur, candidates on the eligibility list may be contacted to participate in the background phase of the hiring process.
• Candidates must have a completed Personal History Statement (PHS) uploaded to their PST account.
