Salary: $22-25/hour

Position Summary:

The NDSCS Police Officer is responsible for the safety and security of students, staff/faculty, and visitors to NDSCS; enforcing all North Dakota criminal and traffic laws as well as protection of NDSCS property, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
  • Firearm qualification
  • Knowledge of emergency vehicle operation
  • Excellent oral, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of computer and word processing programs
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment
  • Knowledge of North Dakota Criminal and Traffic laws
  • ND Peace officer license or ability to be licensed at the time of hire

Preferred Requirements:

  • AA or AAS degree in Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • 2+ years’ of experience in the criminal justice field
