Salary: $30.26 per hour.

Position Summary:

As a new Police Officer at Ferguson Township Police Department, you can expect a dynamic role involving daily patrols, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and engaging with the community. On a set 10-hours-per-day, forty-hour work week schedule, you will work closely with experienced officers to gain hands-on training in forensics, law enforcement techniques, and crisis intervention. Expect to participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in various areas of policing. Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • US Citizen.
  • NO disqualifying criminal convictions (Misdemeanor 2 or higher).
  • Take and pass the Standard & Associates, Inc. National Police Officer Selection Test (POST).
  • Minimum 9th grade reading level.
  • In-person interview.
  • Physical examination.
  • Drug test.
  • Pass a vision test and hearing exam (MPOETC standards).
  • Physical fitness test and psychological examination (MPOETC standards).
  • Rigorous background check.
