Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Patrol Lieutenant or designee, performs a full range of police duties necessary to enforce the laws of the State of Michigan and ordinances of Pittsfield Charter Township.

This is a Full-Time, POAM Union, Non-Exempt position with a salary range of $58,568 – $86,521 depending on qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must be MCOLES certified/certifiable or currently attending an MCOLES certified training academy.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement or two years of related college-level coursework or a Bachelor’s
    degree in any discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • MCOLES certified/certifiable as a law enforcement officer in the State of Michigan, or currently attending
    an MCOLES certified training academy.
  • A valid Driver’s License and an insurable driving record are required, along with the ability to complete
    specialized driver’s training courses related to emergency vehicles. Must have and maintain a good
    driving record.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts. • Background investigation, pre-employment evaluations and drug screening required
