Police Cadet

Position Summary:

Buffalo Grove Police Department is currently seeking interest in our Police Cadet Program. Candidates who meet the age requirement can submit interest by completing an application for membership along with a letter of interest. The letter of interest should be a brief essay expressing your desire to join the Cadet Program and identify what you hope to gain from your involvement.

Individuals part of the Cadet Program will gain a unique insight into law enforcement and participate in a number of tasks and assignments. Cadets will assist with community events, participate in scenario-based training, and learn leadership and team building skills.

Requirements:

• Be 14-18 years old and have graduated 8th grade.
• Have and manintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for all courses.
