Salary: $18.00 per hour.

Position Summary:

Maine’s largest municipal department is currently accepting applications for Police Cadets for the 2024 summer season. Cadets work in teams as a support function for the Police Operations Division. From the end of May through October (hours may decrease after Labor Day), Cadets provide daily foot patrols in Downtown Portland’s Old Port and Arts District business area. Start and end dates can be flexible based on needs. Working Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, these highly visible teams will engage with the public in a number of different capacities.
