Salary: $106,418.04 – $132,590.04 Annually

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day operations of the department, reporting to the Chief for operational matters.
  2. Directly and indirectly supervise the Captain, Lieutenants, Watch Commanders, and other Sergeants assigned by the Chief.
  3. Indirectly monitor supervision of Security Officers, Police Officers, Police Detectives, Student Guard Manager, and Communications Staff.
  4. Work the primary hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, working from 3:30pm to Midnight and from 11:30pm to 8:00am or at unusual hours and times designated by the Chief.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Twelve (12) years of general police experience; Eight (8) years of which must be supervisory/managerial with at least five (5) years of supervision higher than that of lieutenant or equivalent position
  • 5 years in higher education law enforcement preferred
  • Ability to analyze crime patterns and make determinations as to deployment of personnel to effectively combat the crime problems (eg: police vehicles, foot patrols, and undercover offices)
  • Comprehension of Clery Act and Title IX
  • Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans to meet the department needs consistent with University needs
