Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision and coordination of assigned personnel, provides departmental training and assists the Chief of Police in formulating and reviewing policies. This position requires the applicant to be able to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age,
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent,
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and pass a background check, polygraph examination.
  • The applicant will be VT level III certified or be able to obtain lateral transfer from another state that is eligible for a certification waiver with a minimum of 7 years of full-time police experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
