Law Enforcement Certified Deputy Sheriff – Patrol

Salary: $51,131.16

Position Summary:

Warren County is seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to fill the position of Deputy Sheriff – Patrol. This position performs intermediate protective service work patrolling the County to enforce the law. The work may be performed under emergency conditions and involve considerable personal hazard.

This position is responsible for enforcing laws, investigating criminal activity, ensuring the safety of the public, testifying in court, maintaining records and files, and preparing reports.

Requirements:

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduating from high school is required.
• Special requirements include the possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Must meet and maintain minimum training and experience requirements for the position as established by the department and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
