Salary: $75,186.33 and $78,945.64

Essential Functions:

  • Full service Municipal Policing.
  • Enforcement of State and Local Laws.
  • Prepare written reports on assigned tasks. Attend court and testify when necessary.
  • Do community policing, assist and render aid to citizens, conduct building checks and investigate suspicious persons, vehicles, noise, etc.
  • Uniform Patrol, traffic control, motor vehicle assists and traffic crash investigations
  • Volunteer to participate in Village Community Functions.

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • A citizen of the United States.
  • Currently a certified Law Enforcement Officer through the Illinois Law Enforcement Standard Training Board. Out of state officers must provide documentation that they have fulfilled the requirements of the training board.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 60 hours of college credit from an accredited college/university.
  • Possess a Valid Drivers License.
  • Physically able to perform Police Duties, Pass Basic Agility Screening.
  • No Felony convictions or convictions for certain misdemeanor violations.
