Requirements:

  • Excellent evaluative, writing, communication, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, and outside agencies to aid in rehabilitation.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently, be creative, and interact well with multiple systems.
  • Must be agreeable to evening work on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work with challenging or non-compliant clients
  • All Officers must attend New Officer Orientation Training and Basic Firearms Training
  • Must perform case management and supervision, which includes using risk reductions, accountability measures, screening/assessment tools, case planning, and motivational interviewing.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in behavioral sciences.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
