Information Security Officer
Salary: $85,067-113,223/YR
Position Summary:
The Information Security Officer will be responsible for developing, leading, executing, and overseeing an enterprise-wide cybersecurity and IT risk management program, overseeing security policy, incident response, and compliance with regulations and standards. The incumbent is entrusted with protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s information assets. The Information Security Officer develops and implements comprehensive strategies, policies, and procedures to identify and mitigate risks, ensures compliance with county regulations, and responds effectively to security incidents. Works closely with stakeholders across the organization to promote a culture of security and to align information security practices with county objectives. Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, the incumbent works directly with other Information Technology management and staff with the planning and implementation of countywide security profiles. Does related work as required.
Requirements:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a closely related field and four (4) years of paid work experience in information security; OR
- Possession of an associate’s degree or higher in computer science or closely related field and six (6) years of paid work experience as stated in (a); OR
- Possession or a high school diploma or equivalence diploma and eight (8) years of paid work experience as stated in (a); OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a), (b) and (c), or other experience that can demonstrate the ability to perform all duties
