Position Summary:

The South Barrington Police Department is looking for exceptional police officers interested in joining its ranks! We are pleased to be able to promote an officer to Sergeant due to an upcoming retirement. Moving this officer to further their career in the Department allows us the opportunity to hire another officer to join our solid team. Our standards and expectations are high. Requirements:

  • At least 23 years old.
  • United States citizen.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Currently a full-time sworn police officer with an Illinois law enforcement agency with at least two years of service. (Part-time certification does not meet this requirement).
