Salary: $25.40-$29.61

Position Summary:

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for part time Dispatcher. This position performs a variety of duties connected with the operations of the Communications Center including receiving and transmitting emergency and non-emergency calls; operating the Transaction Information Management Enforcement T.I.M.E system, Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management System.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older, high school diploma or G.E.D.,
• Valid drivers’ license, one (1) year of increasingly complex office experience required with record keeping experience, one (1) year of experience in a customer service setting, TIME certification as it relates to dispatch functions, type a minimum of 35 wpm,
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Preferred Requirements:

• Post high school credits in law enforcement, corrections, or telecommunications, prior law enforcement or corrections experience, prior experience in fire or emergency medical services, prior experience utilizing emergency services equipment, fluency in foreign languages. Pre-placement drug testing, physical exam, vision and hear exam required.
