Salary: $20.96 hourly – $49,005 annually.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Some previous work experience in a high stress, high demand or detention environment preferred, with an emphasis on effectively utilizing varied communication skills.
  • Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
  • Must have a valid Class C Driver’s License prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class C driver’s license within 30 days of hire per state law).
  • Intoxilyzer Operator certification from the State of Texas required within 12 months of hire.
  • Successful completion of Basic Detention Officer School required within 12 months of hire.
  • NCIC/TCIC clearance.
  • CPR, AED and First Aid certification.
  • Must pass a drug test, driver license check, criminal history background check, periodic CJIS background check (for positions requiring access into Police buildings) and social security number verification check.
