Detention Officer (Resource)

Salary: $24.94 – $30.31 Hourly

Position Summary:

Performs difficult protective service and human support work ensuring the care and security of inmates at the County Jail through essential functions such: as processing inmates, maintaining jail security, serving meals, transporting inmates, does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution
• Ability to obtain the NC General Detention Officer Certificate within 12 months of employment
• Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
