  • Deputy Sheriff: $33.96 /hour
  • Corrections Officer: $32.01/hour

Position Summary:

The Wasatch County Deputy Sheriff Merit Commission announces recruitment with testing pending for the purpose of establishing a hiring roster as the Sheriff’s Office regularly has openings for the positions of Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer.

Applicants passing all tests are placed on a list of eligible applicants in the order of overall score, beginning with the highest. When a position opens, the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office fills the opening by selecting a candidate from the top three applicants. Applicants may increase their overall score if they qualify for additional credit for military service and/or post-secondary education.
