Deputy Sheriff – Corrections (Lateral)

Salary: $79,850.62 – $101,593.55

Position Summary:

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking certified Illinois Correctional Officers to join our growing team of professional deputies. Qualified applicants must currently be employed by a county or state agency within the State of Illinois as a full-time Correctional Officer for at least 2 years and currently certified in the State of Illinois and in good standing with current agency. Lateral testing is being conducted on an on-going basis. Applicants may apply to take the test at their convenience and there is no end date for lateral applicants.

Requirements:

• Must be currently employed in the State of Illinois as a Correctional Deputy Sheriff, Municipal Correctional Officer or Illinois State Correctional Officer
• Have two years of full-time, continuous experience with the same correctional agency where currently employed
• Be certified as a full-time correctional deputy in the State of Illinois
• Be in good standing will current employer
• Background Check to include polygraph
• Psychological/Medical Exam to include drug testing
