Deputy Sheriff

The Divide County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications and resumes for the positions of Deputy Sheriff.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and be ND P.O.S.T Board certified or currently working in a law enforcement capacity outside of the State of ND.

Applicants must have a current driver’s license and clean driving record. Applicants must have good public relations and communication skills, verbal and report writing skills, able to follow directives and policies and procedures, and knowledge and proficiency in computers.

Applicants will be provided all necessary equipment to safely and efficiently perform their duties and tasks, to include body armor, Taser, take home patrol vehicle, uniforms, duty belt and gear, etc., but must furnish their own duty weapon.

Duties include, but not limited to, enforcement of state and local criminal and traffic laws, patrol of highways and rural areas, criminal investigations, civil process, and any/all other law enforcement duties.

Applicants will be screened and subject to a background check. Applicants may be called upon and asked for an interview.

Starting salary will be $65,123/yearly.

Successful applicant will be required to live within the City of Crosby, ND.
