Position Summary:

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for full time Deputy Sheriffs. We are seeking highly motivated applicants, willing to serve the communities we work in. Applicants need to be able to work in potentially stressful situations with diverse populations. Pay is based on experience and certification.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a valid operator’s license.
  • Be 18 years of age.
  • Pass entrance tests required for the VCJTC, pass a polygraph exam, and an extensive background investigation.
  • Currently certified officers encouraged to apply.
