Communication Technician (Public Safety Dispatcher)
Salary: $56,733.21 annual
Position Summary:
This is a civilian career opportunity is in the Communications Division of the Seagoville Police Department performing numerous job functions within the Department including, but not limited to, E911 Communications, Records Bureau, Administration, Patrol, CID and others as assigned. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week and overtime when required. The person selected for this position may be called on at any time to work in any of the aforementioned areas and must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays and rotating shift work.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical (including hearing and vision testing).
- High School diploma or GED; must possess a current Texas Driver’s License, Class C;
- Must be able to obtain all Departmental required licenses and certifications, and E911 Dispatcher and Records positions as required by State of Texas;
- MUST be able to type 30 wpm.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
