Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship;
- No felony convictions (Note: a misdemeanor or serious traffic offense may also disqualify applicants from further consideration);
- Valid state-issued driver’s license;
- Possess 20/20 corrected vision;
- Meet Department tattoo policy: Tattoos may be visible; however, no visible offensive tattoos or body art is permitted. Examples of offensive tattoos include but are not limited to racial, sexual, nude, discriminatory, gang-related, violent, or obscene words or images. All offensive tattoos are covered by a uniform or sleeve covering. No tattoos on the head, face, or visible on the neck.
- Be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. equivalent;
- Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at an accredited college, university or junior college (official transcripts will be required at the background investigation stage) or have at least one year of active military or naval service (documented by an honorable discharge).
