Telecommunicator

Salary: $22.80-23.68 per hour Bi-weekly

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for rapid dispatch and documentation of needed law enforcement, fire and medical emergency and non-emergency services in a timely and proficient manner

Essential Functions:

1. Regular attendance and adherence to work schedules is required
2. Call Taking: Must answer multiple (911) emergency and non emergency phone calls.
3. Dispatching: Must dispatch Law Enforcement and all other Emergency and Non-Emergency services in a timely manner.
4. Recording Information: Via Computer Aided Dispatch.
5. Knowledge and Skill to retrieve and input information into computers which include numerous varieties of formats.
6. Monitoring and Updating computer information in the numerous formats involved with Law Enforcement and Emergency and Non-emergency situations.
7. Using all communications equipment and procedures.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be bondable
• Must hold a valid Texas Drivers License
