Salary:

  • Telecommunications Officer I – $36,427.60
  • Telecommunications Officer II – $37,338.30
  • Master Telecommunications Officer – $39,205.22

Essential Functions:

  • Performs radio and telephone communications including receiving and dispatching 911 calls for Police services.
  • Position will be 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 rotation, after training is complete.
  • Training will occur during both day and night shifts.

Requirements:

  • Completion of high school.
  • Completion of basic computer skills training.
  • Prior dispatching experience desired.
  • Starting pay will be within range, but actual salary depends on experience and education.
  • This is considered sedentary work, requiring ability to speak, hear, keyboard, and lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Must successfully complete D.C.I. certification training within 6 months of hire.
