Sheriff Deputy
Salary: $31.94 – $33.65 Hourly
Essential Functions:
- The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the enforcement of the applicable laws of the State of New Hampshire.
- Deputies patrol the County enforcing motor vehicle laws, investigate and report criminal acts when discovered, investigate accidents, and file appropriate reports as prescribed by the Office Rules, Regulations, procedures, and/or superior officers.
- Deputies also are responsible for serving Civil Process, transporting prisoners, and assisting in the security of the Sullivan County Superior Court.
- Deputies shall also be responsible for other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Minimum age of 21 at the time of employment
- Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Military experience and/or post-secondary education is strongly recommended
- Must possess a valid NH driver’s license
- Applicants must be a certified Full-Time NH Police officer by NH Police Standards and Training Council
- Applicants must be of good moral character
- The applicant must not have any physical, mental, and/or medical impairments which would interfere with the ability to perform the essential functions of a police officer
- Applicants shall not have a criminal record or serious motor vehicle record
