School Resource/Police Officer

Minimal Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Current Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Clearances.

Candidate must have successfully completed basic training as required by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under 53 Pa.C.S. Ch. 21 Subch. D (relating to municipal police education and training) or have graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, been employed as a State trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police, and separated from that service in good standing.

Current Act 120 Active Certification preferred but not required to apply.

NASRO Basic School Police Training or equivalent (Preferred, but not required to apply.)

Successful candidate must complete the Basic School Resource Officer Course of Instruction offered by the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) or an equivalent course of instruction approved by PCCD prior to appointment to the position.

Minimum of Eight (8) years full time law enforcement experience preferred.
