Salary: $63,252 per year

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age at time of hire
  • high school diploma GED
  • valid driver license with acceptable record
  • a record with no felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors
  • must pass state vision and hearing requirements
  • be able to pass POST test and physical requirements set by Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (certified offers are not required to take POST or physical test)
  • complete a psychological exam and talk with mental health professional
  • live within 30 miles of Charles City within 6 months of hire
  • be able to pass drug testing
