Police Officer (Lateral Certified Police Officers)

Salary: $72,009.60 – $101,004.80 Annually.

Essential Functions:

  • Officers on patrol perform a variety of essential activities and services that are both proactive and reactive in nature.
  • Some of these include enforcing traffic and criminal laws, apprehending criminals, maintaining order, answering calls for service, conducting investigations, educating the public regarding public safety issues and crime prevention, prepares written reports and field notes of investigations and patrol activities, apprehending criminals and testifying in court.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a certified police officer working in a patrol capacity by the date of hire, and your peace officer certification must still be active and in good standing with the State of Colorado POST.
  • Laterals from other states – must be currently certified as a police officer in another state with ability to obtain Colorado post certification within state and department deadlines.
