6-Month Increase (2.5%): $55,236.47

12-Month Increase (2.5%): $56,617.38

Lateral Entry: Candidates with prior law enforcement experience will be hired within the full range based on qualifications and experience.

Officers in this position perform a full range of general law enforcement duties designed to:

Partner with the public to prevent and detect crime

Promote traffic safety and address community concerns

Respond to calls for service and provide assistance to citizens
Duties include patrolling the City by vehicle or on foot, investigating criminal and traffic incidents, apprehending suspects, and engaging in proactive community policing efforts. The role requires frequent public interaction and the ability to exercise collaboration, sound judgment, and calm decisiveness in a wide variety of situations. Officers are expected to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, business owners, and community leaders.
