Police Officer – Academy Graduate/Lateral

Salary: $5,939.44 – $7,234.24 Monthly.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited California POST certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy; OR
Certificate of Completion from an accredited California POST Certified Law Enforcement Academy awarded or renewed within the previous consecutive three (3) years at time of application.
Must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment date.
California POST requires possession of U.S. high school diploma or GED.
POST Certificate must be valid at the time of appointment date.
Must possess a valid Class “C” California driver’s license.
Good physical condition. Vision and physical conditions must satisfy established POST Medical Standards as provided on their website: POST – Medical Screening Manual.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible and has applied for citizenship prior to application for employment in compliance with Government Code Section 1031.
Record must be free from any felony convictions.
