Police Officer

Salary: $30.88 per hour.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years old,
• A United States citizen,
• Reside within 30 miles of West Newbury after hiring, and successfully pass a background check, medical exam, psychological exam, and other MPTC required testing.
• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
• Applicants must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a driver’s license, a Massachusetts license to carry firearms, and POST certification.
• Previous fulltime MPTC Academy certification is strongly preferred, but not required upon applying.
• Nonfull-time certified and Bridge Academy certified applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
