Salary range: Salary range is $31.37-$44.57 ($65,247.01-$92,697.58 annually) plus full benefits
The City of Minnetrista is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Police Officer in the Public Safety department serving Minnetrista and St. Bonifacius.
Position Summary: These positions are full-time, uniformed, union positions tasked to preserve law and order, to protect life and property, and to enforce laws and ordinances in a manner which will command public respect and confidence at all times. Police Officers report to the Sergeant and are charged with duties under Minnesota State Statute 626.84. Duties are performed in accordance with department rules and regulations and consists primarily of routine patrol, traffic regulation, preliminary investigation and follow-up investigation. Thorough knowledge of approved practice, procedures, and techniques required in performing daily law enforcement and public safety duties. Minnetrista Public Safety Department is a full-service Police Department with future Drug Task Force and School Resource Officer Opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be MN POST Board licensed or eligible to be licensed by the application deadline. Minimum qualifications include an AA or AS degree in law enforcement from an accredited college or university and a valid MN driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Applicants must be able to successfully pass psychological, medical, and background checks prior to hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; work experience as a Police Officer. Lateral entry will be considered for experienced applicants.
