Position Summary:

University of Alaska Fairbanks Police Officers are responsible for the safety and security of campus students, faculty, and staff. As a UAF police officer, you will be expected to address traffic violations, conduct criminal investigations, and participate in community events. You will be expected to be knowledgeable about Alaska traffic laws, criminal statutes, and UAF policies and procedures. You will be expected to maintain the high standards of the UAF Police Department.

Requirements:

  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be a US citizen.
  • Possess (or be eligible for) a valid Alaska Driver’s License.
  • Have no felony convictions.
  • Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements of Alaska Police Standards Council regulations under 13 AAC 85.010.
