Patrol Officer- SRO

Salary: $70,470.40

Position Summary:

The City of Independence, lowa, population of approximately 6,000 is accepting applications for a full time Patrol Officer/School Resource Officer. Independence is located at the intersection of Hwy 150 and Hwy 20, in the middle of Buchanan County.

Requirements:

• Lateral transfers will be accepted
• Education/Training: 2-year degree preferred, not required
• Experience: Certified Officer with 3 years experience, NASRO certification preferred, not required
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a two-year college with a degree in a social or police science is desirable.
• Candidates MUST meet all minimum standards for lowa Law Enforcement Officers.
