Lateral Transfer – Police Officer/Peace Officer
Salary: $35.75 – $51.84 hourly / $74,360 – $107,827 annually.

Position Summary:

Police Officers perform general police work duties in the protection of life and property through crime prevention and the enforcement of state laws and ordinances. Successful applicants will be required to complete the City of Phoenix post-academy.
Requirements:
- Arizona applicants must have an Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZPOST) certification and be in good standing.
- Applicants certified in another state other than Arizona, must have at least one full year of experience as a first responder (excluding academy, administrative and training assignments, or jail detention officer duties).
- This is a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week operation. Employees are required to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Vacation and shift assignments are determined by seniority.
- Requires walking for prolonged periods which may include walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces.
- Requires working outside in a variety of environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, air pollution, and dust.
