The Perkins County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for Full-Time Deputy Sheriffs and a Sergeant.

Hiring Incentive $3,750 (non-certified) and $7,500 (certified). Salary $25.70 – $27.50 (non-certified) and $27.50 – 31.85 (certified). On Call & Call Out Pay Program.

Applicants must

  • Be 21 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Be of a good moral character
  • No felony
  • No serious misdemeanor or major traffic convictions
  • Valid drivers license
  • good physical condition

Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification and post-secondary education preferred, but not mandatory. Written and physical agility testing waived for Nebraska certified applicants who submit a copy of valid certification with application/resume. Uncertified applicants must meet admission requirements for the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center. Pay rate is dependent on education, qualifications, training, and experience.
