Essential Functions:

  • Duties: including but not limited to the jail, patrol, court security and civil process duties. Applicants must be mentally and physically qualified to serve in any of these assignments.

Requirements:

  • Be a citizen of the united states,
  • Be 21 years of age,
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must posses a valid Virginia operators license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively with respect for the rights of others. Ability to write reports and make oral presentations.
  • Must pass all phases of the deputy sheriff application process.
