Salary: $50,000 – $110,500

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment.
  • Must be a resident of New Jersey and citizen of the United States.
  • Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED).
  • Ability to perform all tasks and duties of a police officer.
  • Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
  • Must not have been convicted of a crime.
  • Applicants must be of good moral and ethical character.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Certified in Basic Course for Police Officers by the NJ Police Training Commission, OR
  • Currently enrolled in a Police Training Commission certified NJ Police Academy, OR
  • Certified as a NJ Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II AND meet the requirements set forth by the NJ Police Training Commission and be eligible for a waiver to Basic Course for Police Officers.
