Certified Officer
The mission of the Vinton Police Department is to improve the quality of life by preserving the peace and safety of the community through the formation of partnerships, creating positive interaction between the public and the police while continuing to serve the unique needs of the Town of Vinton.
- $5,000.00 sign on bonus
- Starting pay up to $52,529.18 depending on qualifications
- Relocation Assistance
- Take home vehicle for officers who live within 15 air miles of the Town limits
- 10.9% of annual salary contributed by the Town per pay to VRS
- Paid medical/dental/vision insurance for the employee
- 60 hours of leave upon hire
- PTO equivalent of 24 days (288 hours) per year
