Salary: $31,255.86 – $34,409.93 annually.

Position Summary:

The Campus Police Dispatcher is housed within Campus Police and reports to the Campus Police Officer Manager.  The person in this position monitors surveillance cameras and uses a two-way radio to receive and transmit to and from law enforcement officers on complaints, crimes in progress and general police communications.  The person in this position will provide detailed messages regarding the safety and conditions of police officers performing hazardous duties.  The position requires the use of NCIC/FCIC terminals, CAD system and Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).  Accurately track, monitor, and document all officer activities during their tour of duty in accordance with agency policy.  The position receives processes and effectively prioritizes calls for service according to emergency and non-emergency in accordance with department policy. The person in this position answers the police department telephone, route calls to the appropriate person, and serves as backup for the college switchboard as needed.  The position performs other related duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma and one year of related experience.
  • College coursework can substitute at a rate of thirty (30) semester hours or forty-five (45) quarter hours for the required experience.
